Comment/Synopsis

Marlon Brando is an ex-boxer working for a union boss who witnesses a murder. After meeting the dead man's sister (Eva Marie Saint) and a priest (Karl Malden) he has to decide whether to testify for the police or keep his head down. This is Marlon Brando at his best as the dockworker challenging the Mob's control of the labour market.
