A teenage girl ignored by her parents goes off the rails and attempts suicide. The film starts with attempted sucide and then tells the story of how she got there in flashbacks. Being ignored by her parents she gets a reputation for going with any and everyboy and when rejected she attempts suicide and then she and her parents have to come to terms with their behaviour. Is is mainly a moral tale of a teenager rebelling, but also of the effect of bad parenting. There is a good performance from Joan Evans as the teenage girl and Lynn Bari gives good support as the mother only interested in herself.
