In British India, Kenneth More is a soldier who has to take a boy prince to safety across rebel held territory on an old train. Kenneth More gives a good performance as the British soldier doing his duty and obeying orders whilst Lauren Bacall injects some humanity into the situation and Herbert Lom is enigmatic as the man whose loyalties are unclear. There is good mix of drama and action that keeps the film moving at a good pace and the actors give the characters depth.
