A musician dies of a gunshot wound which is ruled suicide by the police, but the detective (George Raft) thinks it is murder and investigates all of his female friends. Lynn Bari becomes his prime suspect but also the woman he starts to be attracted to, meanwhile there are plenty of other suspects including his various female friends all of which he called Dolores. This is a well worked film noir style crime thriller with good performances from George Raft and Lynn Bari in the main roles. There is also good support from Virginia Huston and Myrna Dell.
