A doctor (Dana Andrews) and his wife (Lilli Palmer) have a marriage where she is his secretary, cooks for him and looks after him. Their life is disrupted with the arrival of a brash artist (Louis Jordan) into their lives. The story attempts to pit the scientist against the artist, but Louis Jordan's character is too pompous which overshadows his performance. The best performance comes from Lilli Palmer whose comic acting is the best of the three.
