Shelly Conn moves back to Scotland from London after her father dies to take over the Indian restaurant that he ran. Gambling debts mean the restaurant was to be sold, but with the help of Laura Fraser she enters a televised inter-restaurant competition. As their friendship develops into love, they have to deal with the problems this brings within their respective familes and cultures. This is an entertaining romantic comedy that works on the charcters rather than the stereoptypes, with engaging performances from both Laura Fraser and Shelly Conn.
