A group of strangers are trapped in a remote farm house by a band of zombies. This is the first of George Romero's zombie films and the film that set the standard for many of the subsequent zombie films. In many ways it was a game changer for the horror genre of films. It is well filmed and gives a good mix of tension and horror. George Romero created an influencial independent zombie film that also had a significant cultural subtext.
