A young boy reads an old book and follows the story of a young hero who is sent on a quests to save the land of Fantasia from the nothingness. As he reads the story he is eventually transported to this fantasy land where he becomes the hero. THis is a fantasy film that is aimed at children and is about hope, dispair and imagination. At the time it was made it was the most expensive German film made.
