A womn throws dinner party for various relatives and associates to make an announcement but the lights go out and one of the guests is shot dead. Nelly (Pascale Hutton) and her policeman friend (Kavan Smith) had also been invited and investigate the murder. The plot is not original as everyone has motives, related to money, relationships and inheritance. The plot has an influence from Agatha Christie's A Murder Is Announced.
