A scientist develops a serum that regresses a cat into a sabre tooth tiger and then experiments on himself and he regresses to a Neanderthal man. The tiger starts killing animals and when ranger sees it no really beleives him. He persuades another scientist to help but after they kill the beast people start being killed by a man like creature. The basic plot is improbable and the pacing is variable as it drags in places. A lot of the acting is quite stilted, but the best from Beverly Garland who has a small role.
