An accident causes a scientist (Dan Aykroyd) to send a beam to another planet. This will destroy the planet, so the inhabitants visit earth to try and undo the problem. The alien takes the form of a beautiful woman (Kim Bassinger) who has to try and learn to live like a human and convince Dan Akroyd to repair the damage. This is a fun, but average comedy that is lifted by Dan Aykroyd's performance, Kim Bassinger's use of her modelling skills, rather than her acting skills and a performance from a young Alyson Hannigan as his daughter and a young Seth Green.
