Comment/Synopsis

A baby photographer (Bob Hope) who dreams of being a private detective gets involved in international industrial espionage when a beautiful woman (Dorothy Lamour) mistakes him for a real detective and seeks his help. This is a comic spoof of the film noir detective film, with Bob Hope having the comic lines and the rest of the good cast playing their roles mostly straight. This teamed up Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour again during the period they were making the Road movies with Bing Crosby (who has a cameo performance at the end of the film).
