An elderly woman changes her will and then she is murdered. The chief of police thinks the killer is the relative who inherts, but another policeman thinks there is more to the case, and as he investigates more people are killed. What makes this film very good is the performance of Lilyan Tashman as the woman who wants wealth and will stop at nothing to get it. As the blonde sensual seductress wandering about in tight fitting silk dresses she manipulates every man she meets to do her will including getting them to kill for her. She moves from seductress, to greiving widow, to innocent victim. The supporting cast is OK, but William Boyd is bland as her nemesis.
