A night club singer (Marlene Dietrich) arrives in Morocco and has a soldier from the French foreign leigon (Gary Cooper) and a wealthy business man (Adolphe Menjou) both seeking her affections though for different reasons and in different ways. The film is made by the performance of Marlene Dietrich who moves from sultry singer to heart broken lover. Her performance is understated in many scenes, but she creates emotion.
