A woman (Phyllis Barry) is given a necklace with valuable moostone by her fiance when returns from India. He gives it to her in a remote country house where it is stolen and the police investigate the assorted characters staying in the house. This is a version of the Wilkie Collins novel, though the script bears very little resemblance to the original novel, turning it into another country house mystery. As an early sound film the acting is not great.
