Captain Ahab (Gregory Peck) goes on a quest to find the giant whhite whale who attacked him earlier in his life. John Huston manages to get the feel of Herman Melville's large book into the film, thanks largely to the performance of Gregory Peck. Orson Welles give s asmall but powerful performance early iin the film as the vicar.
