A broke woman (Claudette Colbert) arrives in Paris, meets a taxi driver (Don Ameche) and after crashing a party is asked to chat up a man who is having an affair with a married woman. Claudette Colbert shows her comic skills as well as her sensual charm as the woman who manages to scheme her way into the lives of two men and their various acquaintances.
