The story of Mary Magdalene (Rooney Mara) and her relationship with Jesus (Joaquin Phoenix) as told from her perspective. Most of the script is made up as there is little in the Bible about her and it has inaccuraces fromboth an historical and Biblical point of view. A disappointing depiction of the characters.
