A successful magazine fashion editor (Lois Maxwell) finds her past catching up with her after her first husband (Kieran Moore), a convicted murderer, escapes from prison. Various people take an interest in why he has escaped and what he is planing to do, not least an enigmatic lawyer (Paul Henreid) and his girlfriend / assistant (Kay Kendall). This is a competent British thriller from the 1950's with a good performance from Lois Maxwell in the lead role before her appearances as Moneypenny in the early Bond films. This was released as Man In Hiding in the USA.
