A man famous for writing books on fishing and selling tackle but cannot fish is entered into a fishing competition by the woman owning the lake and fishing competition. in order to save face she tries to actually teach him to fish with various comic episodes. THings are complicated as they start to fall in love with each other and then then his girl friend arrives. This is is a pleasant romantic comedy in the screwball tradition. There are some good comic almost slapstick scenes and some good on-off romance between ROck Hudson and paula Prentis
