When a woman (Laura La Plante) discovers that her boss, whom she fancies, is having an affair with another woman, she decides to kill herself by drowning in the river. She is saved by a man (Douglas Fairbanks Jr) who is due to be married (Margaret Lockwood) the next day. He takes her home and this starts all sorts of events for both of them. This is a good British romatic comedy from the 1930's, with a good performance from Laura la Plante and a subtle swipe at the social standards of the day.
