A young boy trades an invisible watch for a powerful magnet which leads him into scrapes and sparks a surprise fund raising exercise. This is a curious mix of morality tale and comedy. There is a good performance from a young James Fox in his second film and Kay Walsh is her usual charming self as his mother. It has an innocent British charm of the early 1950's.
