A night club singer meets two men on a boat to Macao. Once there she is offered a job by gagster running a casino who thinks one of the men is a policeman trying to arrest him. The plot is quite thin and the script gives little for Robert Mitchum and Jane Russell to work with. The film ends up being lacklustre despite attempting a film-noir feel. Jane Russell does little but wander around in variou figure hugging dresses and Robert Mitchum did much better work.
