A salesman (Jake Gyllenhaal) for a pharmaceutical company uses his charm to sleep with women and sell his drug until one day he meets a young woman (Anne Hathaway) with early onset Parkinson's disease. What starts out as just casual sex develops into love, but the implications of the inexorable progress of her disease means he struggles to deal with the relationship. This is a strange mix of romantic comedy set against a background of a neurodegenerative disorder and a man selling Viagra. Anne Hathaway gives a sympathetic performance of a woman with early Parkinson's disease.
