A scientist (Bob Hoskins) leads an expidition into the South American jungle to look for a plateau that still has dinosaurs living on it. This version of the Arthur Conan Doyle novel is more faithful to the book than many adaptations though with the addition of a female character into the party (Elaine Cassidy). There is a good performance from Bob Hoskins who is ably supported by the rest of the cast.
