When her fiancee is murdered on the eve of her wedding, a woman (Barbara Stanwuck) is sent to the countryside to recouperate. Having decided she will not love again, she marries a wealthy man (Frank Morgan), but having gained wealth and status she attracts men and finds love with one (Ricardo Cortez), but has to decide who she will be with. Barbara Stanwyck gives a typically good performance as the woman refinding love after a trauma. There is also good support from Frank Morgan as the husband and Ricardo Cartez as the lover.
