A young lady (Madge Bellamy) and a farm boy (John Bowers) meet by chance and fall in love at first sight. She is kidnapped by a band of local ruffians. She is protected by their leader from one of the men who wants her for his wife. As the leader is dying she gets word to him to rescue her. There then follows a series of adventures as their relationship goes through a series of dramatic ups and downs. This is a good version of the story with Madge bellamy in the lead capturing the variety of the character, well supported by Frank Keenan as the patriach and John Bowers as her lover.
