After an American is discharged from the army, moves with his English wife to Liverpool where he gets a job as a lorry driver and gets involved in a smuggling operation. Since he wants to go straight he upsets the man running the operation and it gets worse for him as he starts an affair with the other man's girlfriend. Diana Dors looks good in her outfits but does little acting.
