A lawyer employs an actor to impersonate him to his mother in-law and butler so that he can go out with an attractive young woman. This situation is complicated when his wife returns unexpectedly from a trip and the woman arrives at his house in the morning. This is a variation on the bedroom farce plot with Edward Horton playing the two versions of himself.
