Comment/Synopsis

John Beal is appointed minister to a church in a Scottish village. He meets Katherine Hepburn who pretends to be a gypsy and inspires the villages to riot whilst he advocates a peacefull approach. Despite their opposite characters they gradually fall in love. The film is carried by a good performance from Katharine Hepburn. The film is based on a story by J M Barrie.
