A pair of barbers get the chance to set up shop in New York only to find they are front a speakesy for a gang of criminals. The plot and acting in this film are not great, however this film is important for another reason. This was the first full length, all talking, feature film. Although not a great film, it was a commercial success as the crowds flocked to see and hear this film. The acting is very static has the actors had to speak to fixed microphones that were hidden in scenery. A film to watch for its historical significance rather than artistic merit.
