In the days leading up to thee destruction of Pompeii, a blind slave is caught up in a love triangle that leads to murder, people being thrown to the lions and finally the eruption of Versuvius. This Italian film has a good mix of close-up shots and big epic crowd scenes. The historical accuracy may not the best, but it still does a good job of putting a human face to the tragedy that was Pompeii.
