Cybill Shepherd is a brash American heiress travelling on a train across Europe just before the second world war. She befriends an old lady (Angela Lansbury) who then disappears. She tries to find out what happened to the old lady, who everybody else on the train denies seeing although she is helped by an American photographer (Elliott Gould). Angela Lansbury gives a good performance as the old lady, but Cybill Shepherd and Elliott Gould seem to struggle acting within the confines of the train.
