Comment/Synopsis

A group of cleaning ladies pick up share dealing tips from waste bins and use the proceeds to stop the houses in their street from being demolished. This is a British working class comedy that is very much of its time. The script is very uneven with a few funny scenes. Peggy Mount is the dominant character but does have a tendancy to just shout her lines, which does detract from her performance.
