An escort (Barbara Stanwyck) is hired by a wealthy man (Ralph Graves) who paints to be his model and they fall in love against the wishes of his family. At the same time she is romanced by Lowell Sherman as the wealthy playboy. This was Barbara Stanwyck's first major role and the film that set up her career and shows of the talent was to develop in later films. Her performance dominates the film, though there is good support from Marie Provost as her room mate. This is also one of Frank Capra's early films and whilst no as polished as some of his later films does show his creativity in putting shots and scenes together and also movement and zoom of the camera.
