A scientific expedition led by John Goodman and supported by the military land on an uncharted island only to discover it is inhabited by the giant Kong, other giant animals and a group of native islanders. Much of the film is a battle between the military and the monsters on the island, during which Samuel L Jackson slowly looses the plot and his men. Tom Hiddleston is the tracker brought in to help and Brie Larson is a civilian photographer. The plot is not particularly good, but the effects are good particularly the final battle between the two main monsters.
