King Arthur's (Mel Ferrer) rule over England is threatened by Modred (Stanley Baker) and Morgan Le Fey (Anne Crawford), meanwhile Lancelot (Robert Taylor) his most trusted knight starts a love affair with Guinevere (Ava Gardner) his queen. This is the story of the doomed love between Lancelot and Guinevere filmed in wide screen and technicolour. Ava Gardner is good as the beautiful Guinevere and Stanley Baker and Anne Crawford are good as the pair scheming to undermine king Arthur.
