An attractive blonde (Dorothy Revier) who blackmails rich men that she seduces, is found murdered in her apartment. When the police (Conway Tearle) investigate it turns out she was having an affair with more than one man, and there are various other suspects. This is very loosely based on a real life murder. Whilst there are plenty of suspects, but there is a lack of action and it is all very wordy. Despite a good cast of actors from the period overall this is disappointing. Conway Tearle is not convincing as the detective, though Dorothy Revier is good as the temptress, but only has a small part at the start of the film and Marceline Day is good as one of the suspects.
