A woman is found brutally murdered by an axe and as the invetigation proceeds it comes to light that her husband (John Terry) is having an affair with a woman (Barbara Hershey) who is a pillar of the community and church. As she becomes a prime suspect her lawyer (Brian Dennehy) comes up with an unusual defence. This is good for a made for television film, mainly from a good performance from Barbara Hershey as the quiet housewife with a hidden side. It is based on true events.
