The residents of a seemigly utopian facility look forward to being chosen to go to The Island, which is supposed to be the last uncontaminated place in the world. However all is not as it seems as they are clones being bred for body parts for rich people. Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johanssson escape in attempt to expose what is really happening and struggle to come to terms with the real world and their orriginal selves. The film has echoes of both Brave New World and Logans Run, but with a more contemporary feel. This is a good mix of action adventure film and an examination on the meaning of human identity.
