A woman married to a painter has an affair but comes back to him when he is ill and starts a singing career after he dies. Some of the scenes are drawn out too long making the pace quite slow. If you are interested in early 20th century fashions it is worth watching for the variety of costumes that Asta Nielsen has through the film.
