This film is four separate muder/horror stories that all occured at different times in the same house and features a group of top British actors from the early 1970's. There are good performances from all the mean characters and is helped by good stories from writer Robert Bloch.
Story 1 - Denholm Elliott is a writer of horror stories who starts being haunted by a character from the book he is writing.
Story 2 - Christopher Lee moves to the house and he and his friend Joss Ackland are drawn to a wax work of a woman who murdered someone with an axe and is holding his head on a platter, but has a face that seems familiar.
Story 3 - Peter Cushing and his daughter move into the house and employ Nyree Dawn Porter as nanny.
