An author is sent to an old manor house to spend 24 hours writing a story but once there meets a strange collection of people. The film features Vincent Price, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, the three greats of the horror genre. The weakness of the film is the casting of Desi Arnaz Jr and Julie Peasgood as two of the main characters. This was the 24th and final film featuring both CHristopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
