Comment/Synopsis

A man (Vincent Price) who makes historical wax figures has his museum burnt down by his business partner and 18 months later he reappears disfigured and creates more gruesome figures but not in the usual way. Bodies start disappearing from the morgue and identical ones appear in the wax museum. Vincent Price gives a suitably creepy performance as the disturbed sculptor. This was originally filmed in 3D and there are a few scenes that are set up for the 3D effect. This is horror by suspense rather than gore and effects. Charles Bronson has a small part as the deaf mute assistant.
