Sherlock Holmes is called into to protect the heir of Baskerville Hall who is being haunted by a hound on the moors. This is the film that paired together Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce as Holmes and Watson and set the trend of giving Watson a larger role that he had in the novels.This was the start of the classic series of Holmes films starring Basil Rathbone and was one of the biggest films of his career. It was the first of 14 Holmes films featuring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce.
