A baby is abandoned on a tramp boat and after the captain (Gary Colbert) decides to keep the baby he looks for a woman to help look after the baby. He finds a woman (Claudette Colbert) who claims to be the daughter of a dead missionary, but actually has a dubious background. Whilst not a classic plot, there are good performances from Gary Cooper and Claudette Colbert.
