The work shy son (John Wayne) of a wealthy business man (Reginald Barlow) is sent to collect a debt and he meets a woman (Evalyn Knapp) that he falls in love with and marries. His father refuses to meet her thinking she is a gold digger, so she gets a job as his secretary to prove her worth, though he does not realise who she is. Although the plot is not the best, this is a pleasant light romantic comedy with a pleasant interplay between John Wayne in one of his early films and Evalyn Knapp.
