A young engaged woman (Ida Lupino) meets and falls in love with the writer (George Curzon) of the romantic novels she reads and for a while the novelists wife (Diana Napier) plays along but finally plots to bring the young woman to her senses. The film is based on a stage play and has comic interludes from the then well known British comic Harry Tate. This is notable for being the first starring role for Ida Lupino.
