An elf (Summer Glau) from the north pole decides to see if there is more to life than making toys. She gets a job helping out with a busy family whose parents have lost the Christmas spirit. Whilst she quickly wins over the children, she has more problem with the parents, especially the mother (Eva La Rue), but is helped by the uncle (Dan Gauthier) with whom she develops a romantic interest.
