A book keeper who is also an Air Raid Warden is in love with the secretary of the company, but he thinks he is too poor to marry her. He resigns his job to join the army, but gets rejected, buys some land from a friend to lent money to and eventually finds love and gets rich. The plot is all very unlikely but it is a fun light weight comedy with a good performance from Evelyn Venable as the feisty secretary.
